Both Daniel and Sumire watch as Henry rapidly got younger before their very eyes. They watch as he shrank below their needs before he stop. A three year old Henry looked up to them with a smile on his face, wearing a green tee-shirt and training pants. He then start giggling and start running around with Sumire started chasing him.
“Henry-Tan. No time to play here we have to go.” Sumire said as she try to catch him. Daniel just rolled his eyes as when Henry got close to him; he just bent down and scooped up Henry before proceeding to put him over his shoulders. Henry just giggling all the way as Daniel smiled at how easy it was to catch him.
‘Wait a minute since when was I an expert on that.’ Thought Daniel as his smile falter. Sure he was an expert dealing with little kids and toddlers after all, he did volunteer at the kindergarten and preschool. However, to do this so expertly with Henry… it was then that he realize that he had new memories. Apparently Henry is now his…cousin…little brother that Daniel had unfortunately had to take on the trip and the only way his…aunt and uncle…parents agreed to this was that a teacher was assigned the same room as them.
“Thank you Daniel-Chan, I don’t know how you were able to do that.” Sumire said knock Daniel out of his thoughts. He looked to her to see that she managed to get a changing bag and Henry stroller. She held out her hands and reading her intent, Daniel handed over Henry to her as she then proceeded to strapped Henry into the stroller.
“It’s nothing, lots of practiced but what are we going to do now? He’s way too hyper to take him out to eat right now.” Daniel voiced his concern. Sumire after strapping Henry in proceeded to toss a key to Daniel which he caught before grabbing a card key, and fob key that went amount her wrist.
“It’s not a problem, there is a playground, especially a toddlers playground on the way there. We’ll stop there for a while and let them burn off that extra energy.” Sumire said as she started to push Henry stroller and Daniel being a gentleman open the door. As they left the room, Daniel close the door behind them.
~5 Minutes Later~
They arrived at the toddler playground; Sumire release Henry from the straps of the stroller and allow Henry to run to the other toddlers. Daniel and Sumire then found a park bench to sit down next to each other. It was peaceful while except for the screams of the toddlers going around but it wasn’t too much of a bother.
As Daniel sat there, watching all the toddlers running around, he wondering how many were true toddlers. After all, given the wing of the resort they were in; many of these toddlers have to be regressed guest. To his surprise seeing the adults sitting on the other benches; he couldn’t help but noticed a bunch of ladies wearing what appear to be uniforms, somewhat same color coordination as the bellhops. He did felt a bit of discuss when he saw a couple, just making out in one of the benches instead of watching their ‘charge’.
He then felt something, grabbed his hand and something against his shoulder. He briefly turned his head to his left, then immediately turned to the opposite direction blushing. Sumire had put her right hand into his left hand and laid her head against his shoulders. Daniel despite blushing, has to admit he was actually enjoying it.
“Do you want to know a secret?” Sumire whispered. Daniel turned his head back towards her a bit confused to trust him with a secret. This should be interesting.
“Sure.” Daniel said.
“I always wanted to start a family after high school.” Sumire whispered, threw true Daniel in a loop until she start continuing. “I always imagine that I would have a kid or two before I turn 30. A loving, doting, and committed husband at my side. That was my dream along of being a teacher.”
“What happen?” Daniel whispered back. Sumire was silent for a second before squeezing his hand and started to respond.
“Couldn’t find the right guy, I guess. I want someone who was not afraid to be a father and to be a go-getter. I mean both of us working and raising the kids would be one heck of a job to juggle.” She whisper. Daniel blush because he knew what type of person she was describing and didn’t know if he should be flattered or creep out that Ms. Sumire Yamamoto’s type of guy was what he was trying to achieve.
However, before he could process this any further, Henry came back looking worn out he just turned around and just sit back into a stroller. Sumire smiling got up as she proceeded to get down in front of the stroller.
“Did Henry-Tan got worn out playing.” Sumire playfully tease as she re-strapped Henry before she proceeded to get up. Daniel proceed to get up as well as he got behind the stroller and prepared to push. They left the playground.
~2-3 Minutes later~
They approached the plaza with the restaurants Sumire look back to see Daniel was nervous.
“Don’t worry Daniel-Chan. We are not going to a restaurant that changes the costumers ages. We’re going to a normal one.” Sumire said giving an assuring smile as they went to a particulars restaurant.
