When his bowl was empty, Dan looked up to see his master had gone back inside. With a huff, he lay down on the ground, his muzzle atop his front paws. Tired from his day at the park, he quickly drifted to sleep.
In his dream, he saw a human that looked oddly familiar. The human looked worried, and scared. Dan wanted to comfort the human, he should be happy!
The human said something, but that didn’t matter. Dan jumped up and licked at the human's face. He squirmed away at first, trying to push Dan off. But Dan was smart, he had to make the human happy!
So Dan kept licking, ducking under the human’s arms and pushing his muzzle into his face. The human made a noise, like a whine, but Dan wouldn’t stop!
The human pushed again, but weaker this time. Dan covered him in doggy kisses, making sure to show him everything was alright! The human whined again but it was so quiet that Dan barely heard it.
Dan looked down at the human, his head tilted to the side. Was the human smaller? Dan sniffed at him but he didn’t even smell right. The human reached out to him and Dan licked him again.
And again.
And again.
And then the human was gone. Dan turned around but the human had disappeared.
Dan woke with a growly yawn. What a weird dream! He hoped Master would play with him soon!
