"But I'm a guy," said Jill as they walked off towards their room. "I'm you! You wouldn't want to be a girl, would you? I wouldn't either."
"Hmm," thought Jeff. "There's one solution."
"I know what you're thinking," said Jill.
"Of course you do. We think the same."
"Use the Chronivac again. Let me enjoy being a girl."
"I don't know if I'd do that," said Jeff. "So you wouldn't either."
"I don't know," replied Jill.
"But maybe I/you can just try it?" said both of them.
Jill kept the setting at "Aware" but set the machine to provide a female self-image. "Here goes," she said, and pressed the button on it, aiming it at herself. "I don't feel any different," she said.
"Think about it," replied Jeff. "Are you a boy or a girl?"
"I'm a girl, of course. I used to be you, but now I'm you as a girl."
"It works!" said Jeff. Jill hugged him. "Whoa," replied Jeff. "Don't snuggle up to me like that. You're turning me on."
"Silly," said Jill. "I'm you. It's fine. Remember when we were alone in our room and we...?"
"You remember that? That was me..."
"No, it was me, back when I was you. Well, it was both of us."
"Hmm," said Jeff. "Would you like to play some Halo 2? Just us against each other."
"Of course!"
They proved to be *very* equally matched. Jeff only won by pure chance. "You know," said Jeff. "It's nice having a girl around who likes what I like, who talks like I talk."
"Yeah," said Jill. "When I was you I would have said just that, but now I think it's nice to have a guy around just like me. I know exactly what you look like under those clothes, too...."
