Deep in the old woods that surrounded the town, there were stories of people who had the visages of animals. They rarely left their homes so many only thought of them as a inconvenience at best, a rumor at least. A few boys attempted to dare each other to step into the glade, they had just gotten out of school for the day. They attempted to push each other over mossy line back and forth laughing. A quick snarl and growl from a nearby bush caused the three boys to scream as they tripped over each other, one being pushed to the ground as his foot was caught by a root. The other two boys booked it as they quickly disappeared. The last boy struggled to get his foot free, looking around scared and desperate of the potential monsters around him.
The bush parted as a shadow stepped forward. The boy looked as if his soul had left him, as if he expected to die then and there. The shadow stepped forward into the edge of light. Jennifer peaked over, looking down over the boy, her wooden spear ready against any potential traps. The human struggled even more, trying to pull his leg out. Jennifer gazed down, and after a few seconds set the spear down. The humans face grew pale as Jennifer grabbed his foot. Jennifer raised a brow at the weird thing covering his foot. She hesitantly pulled the shoe off as the kid lept to his feet, finally free.
The boy stood there, scared and dirty. Jennifer gave a questionable sniff into the shoe before exhaling and recoiling from the smell. Tossing the shoe towards the boy, he slowly and carefully inched his way to it. "You're...uh....you're a beastkin right?" he said nervously.
The boy fell back as Jennifer stood all the way up, his cheeks blushing at the nude fox lady before him. "Oh I didn't know you didn't wear clothes." His eyes danced around, trying not to stare at Jennifer's furred breasts, he was only thankful the thick fur concealed her nipples.
Jennifer picked up the wooden spear again. Her face scrunched as she tried her best to speak human tongue, her voice was light but rough, and many pronunciations were just plain wrong, but atleast decipherable. "You? Who are you?" Jennifer sniffed out again towards the boy.
"I'm uh, Soren, I go to the highschool over there, see?" he said nervously as he pointed in the direction of the man village. Jennifer looked back at Soren. "Why you come here?" Her ears bent low, waiting for an answer. Soren raised his hands. "I just came here to see if you were really here, I swear, I'm sorry, I'll uh, go. Please just let me go."
Jennifer debated it in her mind, it was just one man, surely they wouldn't miss him, yet another curious mind eaten by the forest. She rolled her eyes. "Fine, you go. But secret." She pointed to her chest then to him. "This, this secret."
Soren's face turned to relief. "Y-yes, I swear it, nobody will ever know. Thank you!" He said as he began to stumble backwards, before running out towards the clearing. Jennifer watched from a tree as the boy ran all the way out of her vision, her muzzle forming a slight smile.
