- Ding dong! A ring at the door! Ding Dong! What might it be for!
Sylviana happily approached the door while singing a most upbeat little song. Her head filled with expectations at the mysterious arrival. The other roomates had all went out until the afternoon at least. They had decided to go eat or something. She was asleep at the time so she was pretty upset when she saw that all of them had gone without her. Anyway, here's the door!
- Hello! What can I do for you... Oh? A package?
She peeked outside the appartment, looking side to side to try to catch a glimpse out of the delivery man, but her must have been in a hurry, as he is nowhere to be found. Sylviana took a second to inspect the box, shaking it a little to try to understand its content.
-No name and no address... I don't hear anything from shaking it... Mmmmm... Should I?
She looked around once again, before closing the door and rushing to her room, eager to satiate her curiosity and discover the package's content. She opened it without hesitation, only to find a small USB labeled “Chronivac Version 4.0”. And, like every sane person who doesn't want a virus in their computer, she plugged it right in her own. After a small download and a few clicks, she faced a peculiar introduction message.
“Welcome new user to the newest version of Chronivac, the program who does it all! This software as the capabilities of changing and remodling the world around you! A few clicks and tweaks and your wishes will become reality! Be warned though, as any unwanted change or malfunction are not the fault of our company and will not take any refound or return. Enjoy!”
What might all of that mean? Could she really... change the world as she wants? Make her wishes come true!? That was amazing! She has to test it out in some way... she closed the entrance message and a few option unveiled in front of her. Suposedly, she had to scan the target at first. She pressed the scan button and a large flash blinded her, only for a complete 3D model of her appearing. She scrolled in awe through the multiple statistics and spectrum of her all around. There were even things she didn't know about! Like she has a sock fetish?
- A sock fetish? That's so weird! Who would even...
She looks down at her socked feet. Yeah, she liked only wearing socks... and I guess that when others wear them... It kinda turn her on? This thing is amazing! She wondered how she changed a stat? She clicked on the number next to age, 23. As a test, she changed the 3 for a 2 and pressed enter. A shiver went down her spine, she felt slightly shorter, oh very slightly, but still. This thing works! She quickly changed back the number and saw herself grow a little again! She scrolled again, before seeing a interesting part of the statistics. It was called “change options” A few checkboxes were there, like “Target unaware” “User unaware” “Change reality” “Continuous change” All these types of things.
- This is getting exciting! Could I just...
She unchecked made sure that “User unaware” was unchecked so she could remember it, then checked “Change reality” And modified her hair color from “Died pink and blue” to “Natural pink and blue”. She didn't feel anything, but as she found an hold phot of her before dying her hair, she saw that she indeed had blue and pink hair! Reality did change!
- Wow! Now I won't have to go back and dye them every month!
She was more than excited about this incredible program. After the “change options” There was a last section called “Direct input”. There, she could type anything, and it will change all the settings to accomodate that change. It was the easiest way to make complicated changes. Seeing that, she thought of a change so strange that it would not be possible to do from a simple number... Just to test it out. She types “Every time target sneezes, a dollar gets added to their bank account.” She pulled out her phone and waited inpatiently for a sneeze to arrive. She was about to go take pepper to fasten it all, when she sensed it, and sneezed! Looking back at her phone, she saw that indeed, her bank account had went up a dollar!
- Hihi! Easiest money I've ever made!
Looking back at all the options, she found herself overwhelmed, what might she do now? She had no inspiration coming to her! She looked around her room, seeking ideas, but none were coming! That was, until she heard the lock of the appartment turning. They were back!
