“Who the hell are you, and why do you look exactly like me,” a familiar voice suddenly calls out, causing “April” to jump.
When the “girl” looks up, her heart almost stops, there, walking towards her is none other than the real April, the 13-year-old frowning.
“Um… who are you,” the “girl” asks.
April stops in front of the “girl”, crossing her arms, “that’s what I have just asked YOU,” she says.
“Um… I’m Amber,” the “girl” says.
“Why do you look so much like me,” April asks.
“I dunno,” the other “girl” says.
“I have heard of so called “doublegangers”, people who look exactly like someone else,” April says, “I thought it was just BS… well… guess I was wrong,” the girl seems to relax. “Sorry for acting the way I did,” April then says, “but with the weirdness going on right now,” she gestures behind her where the weirdness is happening, “I thought, whoever is responsible for it, might have transformed someone into me”.
“That’s okay,” the “girl” says, “I totally get it”.
April tilts her head, “do you mind if I sit down?”
“Um… no, not at all,” “Amber” says.
April sits down next to her double, unaware that it’s her brother Jeff who had transformed himself into her, “by the way, my name is April,” the girl says.
“Amber” smiles, “it’s a pleasure to meet you,” she says.
“This is freaky,” April says, “you not only look like me, you even sound like me!”
“Amber” nods, “yeah… really freaky,” she says.
“I’ve never seen you around before,” April then says.
“Oh, I’ve just moved her, like a week ago,” the “girl” says.
“I see,” April says, there is a moment of silence, “you know,” she then says, “actually, having a double is pretty cool. I’m curious… how similar are we really?”
“Amber” shrugs, “well, I enjoy cheerleading and singing,” she says, “I also sometimes wish I were a witch or fairy, with powerful magic, I’d use my powers on my stupid brother. He’d be more use as a toad than a human!”
April laughs, “damn… you really ARE like an exact copy of me,” she says.
“Amber” laughs herself, “so crazy,” she says.
April smiles, “hey, why don’t we leave this mad place and head to the mall,” she then suggests.
“Amber” thinks for a while, ‘well, I could make a break of testing the app,’ she thinks to herself, “sure, let’s go”.
