The two girls stepped out of the bathroom together, walking down the hallway. Just walking side by side was cast in a new light, due to the combination of what they knew and their new bond. Lucy spent this time planning out their story.
The sound of footsteps alerted the other girls to their return. "Oh, welcome back you two!" Natalie exclaimed with a wave, as the other girls said similar. Once the others welcomed them back, Natalie spoke again. "What were you two talking about?" She asked.
"Well," Lucy began to respond. "Jennifer wanted to mention a feeling of connection she felt with me." Not entirely false, since Jennifer brought up their connection through Jeff, though then she started the fake story. "Skipping over some unnecessary details, we ended up checking the Chronivac, and found out we were actually long lost sisters!"
The group was surprised. "Huh?!" Diana squeaked. "You are?!" At the nod from both siblings, Diana couldn't help but giggle to herself. "I know I said you'd get along great, but I wasn't expecting this!" She chirped, "But I'm happy you two found that out!"
"Yeah, I don't think any of us could've predicted that!" Tanya spoke up. "Though, it's not the most unexpected thing we've learned tonight, the Chronivac itself being the prime example."
Then Natalie decided to ask, "So, what are you two doing with this information?" With a short pause, she added, "I mean, are you gonna try to convince your moms to let you stay together? Or go back to living separately?"
Jennifer glanced at Lucy for a moment, then back to Natalie. "We were thinking of trying to stay together, yeah. Or, Lucy suggested it, at least, I didn't really think much about that myself. But we don't need to make the decision yet, anyway, we've got the rest of the sleepover to decide!"
Just then, a knock at the door catches the girls' attention. "Oh!" Diana turns around. "The pizza's here!"
She was about to get up, but Lucy went ahead of her. "Don't worry, I'll get it!" Lucy called back, leaving the other five alone as she answers the door.
