Joey returned home after dropping off Jamie from high school and was at peace. It was nice of Amy and Jeff dropping their daughter off to their house. That would mean he and Mary would spend some quality time with her in the house after school. Of course, things would been much different then before. Back when Jamie was younger, she would always have fun with them all day. But now...things changed. All she cared about is going on her phone, tablet, and laptop just to be in her special place and rarely have the time to spend with them other then dinner. Kids these days. They don't know what life was like back when he was younger.
Of course, just yesterday he was once an 18-year-old sibling before Jeff used the Chronivac to age him up to be Mary's husband. Though he didn't know it yet. Regardless, he immediately accepted his new life unlike Jamie and Jeff adjusting to it. So as far as he was concerned, he doesn't remember being a teen yesterday. And he is okay with it.
Stepping out of the car, he walked to the house and opened the door, where he was introduce to his wife, Mary. "Welcome home, Joey. I take it the trip with Jamie was okay."
She soon approached him and peck him on the cheek. Unlike Jeff and Amy's, who's hormones are extremely ramped up, Joeys hormones were more lax as he was beyond lustful thoughts, just peaceful bliss. Joey sighed and said, "Yes, you could say that. Though Jamie is a little worried with Jeff and our daughter, and she seems hesitant on if she has someone in school. Heh... Guess she has someone that she's not telling us, or her parents. This better not be some girl. There seems to be this LGBTQ thing going on in these school."
Mary chuckled and told him, "Relax deary, Jamie is a grown girl, if she wishes to date whoever we want, we won't question it. I'm sure she will be happy with whoever she dates."
Joey rolled his eyes around and said, "I guess you have a point."
Mary soon told him, "Anyways, since our daughter is in school and our daughter out on an anniversary trip with Jeff, maybe we should spend some more time out since we spent most of it at home. Why don't we head to the park, I heard there's a open air market and I was thinking I can go get some ingredients to make Jamie's favorite meal for dinner. Maybe stop by at this nice cafe for a quick bite to eat."
Joey heard that and thought the same thing since they've been at home for a while. "I would love that. Jamie will be in school till 5:30 since she needs to be practicing for Homecoming on Friday. We can stay out for as long as we want until I can pick her up."
Mary smiled widely and said, "Great. Let me go get my purse and we'll be off." She walked away to get her purse while Joey felt at ease by the peace and quiet. With Jamie at school and their daughter and her husband on vacation, this is going to be a tranquil week.
