As the man and woman bought some apparently normal 'Spock Ears' and a couple of Star Trek uniforms that appeared normal, the man chuckled and said "I can't imagine putting a costume over that! Better to leave him natural. That way no one has to undress him to play."
A chain appeared around Luke/Brent's neck with a pouch hanging mid-chest. It had his ID, money, and cell phone in it, as if he never had pockets elsewhere to put them. The ID was for Brent Michael Dorner, age 16, a student at Miller High, and showed him naked. Staring at the plastic card, Brent/Luke had to think a moment about why this was not right. Then he finally understood. "The Magic is making everything normal!"
The clerk shook his head. "That's what I have been trying to tell you. If you and the dog don't find something else quick, you are likely to stay like this for the rest of your lives!"
