Justin's eyes desperately washed over the screen hoping to glean an idea of what's happening and maybe even a way to stop it. The computer listed off several rounds of analyzing this and calculating that. "Processing" flashed, followed by "Processing Complete" after each round of analysis. Justin anticipated a substantial change was being queued up but the descriptors of what was being looked at were generic. Things like Job, Body Parameters, Relationships, and Assets.
Justin was considering force closing the program to err on the better safe than sorry side of things but as he reached for the mouse he found he had grabbed a pan of sauteing beef instead. He blinked... He was making dinner? Of course he was making dinner, Jeff would be home in half an hour and Sarah was probably working on her homework. Justin continued making dinner though he realized Jeff and Sarah were his parent's names, but not any longer. Now Jeff was his husband and Sarah was his daughter.
Justin continued preparing food on autopilot, but was actually wracking his brain to understand the new reality he was suddenly in. His family line was restructured, and he was now a generation older in his early 40s. He was married to Jeff but still a guy, meaning the reality change made him gay? Or possibly, him being aware of both realities is keeping him straight, or bi?
He set the table and placed the food as Jeff walked in the door. "Da...ddy" Justin muttered involuntarily seeing his former father in a completely new light. He had always thought his father was strong and capable considering his factory job, but now he was so much more. A caregiver, his rock, his lover. Justin was completely unprepared for these emotions and to make it worse, Jeff heard him and gave him a sexy smirk as he took off his coat.
Dinner was a flurry of the three of them making and eating tacos. Justin couldn't help but contemplate what could have happened to cause this specific change. It was as though he had swapped lives with his mom, including age, but not gender. They now had an adopted daughter who he loved with all his heart, and he was married to a man and gay enough to get flustered as he walked in the door.
Lust filled thoughts played at his mind, he and Jeff doing passionate things together. Though if they were truly thoughts or recent memories was hard to place. Dinner held conversation and discussion of the days activities, Justin found himself participating and describing his daily office grind and some of the workplace drama people make him deal with. He had gone on for several minutes before realizing both that, he was rambling, and this wasn't the day he'd originally had.
Dinner finished and everyone helped clear the table and load the dishwasher. Jeff went outside to have a couple cigarettes and wind down, a habit Justin never liked but now found both disgusting and sexy, somehow. Sarah went back to her room to continue with homework or relax and Justin was left alone with a clean kitchen.
