You have half a mind to ask whether you could help the two fix things, but they both seem to be busy with whatever exactly needs to be done, and basically ignore you, so you shrug your shoulders and leave.
Normally, you'd go and explore the various food stands, but since you're under doctor's orders to avoid sources of transformation for now, you decide to go for the same one you've been to yesterday, even if it's not exactly next door.
You decide to go for two variations on the theme of "Meat in a bun with a bit of veggies for flavor", specifically a hot dog and a Schnitzel in a bun - both with plenty of condiments, and lots of extra stuff beyond the basic onions or lettuce you'd expect respectively, some of which definitely was added to make it look more impressive - and justify the price tag.
Both taste great though, which definitely helps, because you definitely overestimated your stomach capacity - you'd blame your smaller size, but the truth is you simply couldn't decide which of the two you'd rather have and figured you'd be able to eat both, but that was based on what you'd get from a regular fast food truck, not the extra-fancy carnie version.
You end up feeling nicely stuffed, and decide to stay seated and simply people-watch for a while - there are several attractions that can be seen from here after all, some of which apparently transform their customers, because you're pretty sure that bat-person coming out of the haunted house was a regular human beforehand - they seem to be having fun doing vampire impressions with their winged arms though, and their friends enjoy the show as well.
Similarly, the "Amazing House of Mirrors" has lots of people exit in all kinds of barely plausible shapes - stretched tall and thin as a twig, short and stocky to the point they could dress up as a dwarf, and even someone that looks to be mostly spherical, with long, thin arms and legs and a small head on top of their round body.
You'd hang out and enjoy the early afternoon sun some more, but suddenly a large group of mouse-people moves into your vision, blocking the view of the rest of the carnival.
Most of them simply hurry along and are gone soon after, but several line up for the food stand you just visited, which is how you find out that they're also selling non-meat products, specifically deep-fried cheese, both as sticks, and as a large square, optionally in a bun with some lettuce.
The mice take their time chatting and eating at the nearby tables, and while you do your best not to stare, you notice that they are quite the diverse group, with many different fur colours, and also running the gamut from "barely not feral, but still hunched over" and "that's a furry" all the way to the mouse equivalent of catgirls - except without the anime art style, of course.
You also find out that most of them are excitedly talking about the same thing - a performance that's about to start soon, which quite a few have been working to pull off, and that's when you realize that they're probably the crowd that got changed by the musician yesterday - apparently they are behind the big stage you noticed early on, it seems that they'll be staging an entire concert today.
Who exactly, you don't know, but they keep mentioning a band - seems like there were some musically inclined mice among the transformed crowd.
You hang out and watch the goings-on for a bit longer, but eventually you get bored and decide to go somewhere else - but where?
