The farmer wizard looked at the creature that had appeared on his doorstep. He regularly was sent magical creatures that had gotten on the wrong side of a wizard just trying to run their business. This wasn't the first anthro chicken he'd got and it wouldn't be the last.
The farmer wizard, named Gnome, whistled for his farmhands. Those who were transformed but didn't produce anything useful and had a high enough intelligence, he hired as farmhands. Two male minotaurs walked over. They grunted at each other in their language and picked the chicken girl up. Gnome followed them to the coop.
The coop was bigger on the inside than it was on the outside. Inside, it was filled with various magical avian creatures. Harpies, phoenixes, golden geese, and anthro chickens to name a few. The minotaurs brought the chicken girl to the row of nests for anthro chickens.
Once she was in her nest, Gnome used a spell to wake her up. The chicken girl looked around in confusion.
"My name is Gnome, your new owner. What is your name?" Gnome asked. The chicken girl let out a squawk. But Gnome could understand magical creatures. He couldn't run this farm if he didn't. "Ryan. Got it." Gnome waved his hand. The wood underneath Ryan's nest had an engraving with her name appear in it. "I'm going to have you lay an egg now."
"Bawk!" Ryan squawked in fear.
"I don't know what kind of eggs you lay, and I need specific ones. If you don't lay the kind I need, I'll probably have to send you to a different farm that could use you. Unless you consent to me changing what kind of eggs you produce."
Gnome muttered under his breath and cast the spell. Ryan's belly began to bulge. She groaned. With a series of loud, shrill squawks, she began to push. Thanks to Gnome's spell speeding up the process, it took minutes for her to push out the watermelon sized egg, and caused her enormous agony. The other creatures in the coop didn't even look over. This was typical for new hens.
Gnome picked up the egg and looked at it. He frowned thoughtfully. Ryan panted in her nest as she waited for Gnome's judgement.
