Unaware of a possible conflict that was going to erupt from Thomas and Stephanie, Pauline soon put Nate back into the stroller as they exited the restaurant and about to turn to direction of the rooms.
“Pauline wait a minute.” Called out a voice and Pauline looked behind her to see that Daniel & Sumire caught up to her pushing a stroller with the 3 year old Henry in it.
“What do you want Daniel?” Pauline asked showing that she was a bit irritated. “I have places to be.”
“We over heard part of the conversation so let’s see if I understand this correctly.” Daniel responded. “Seth Collins, the class clown. The rich class clown. Who got held back a year is somehow here at this resort?”
“Yes he called me to tell me he is here.” Pauline answered before calming down. “He wants to talk. I don’t know about what but he wants to talk.” Paulina then observed as both Daniel & Sumire look at her quietly as if they were figuring out what to say next. It was as if they were trying to figure out how to say this nice or something.
“You really can’t trust him after everything he put you through right?” Asked Sumire in a concerned tone.
“I know he cruelly tricked me into having sex with him. Then horribly reject me, I sure as hell got back at him with the help of Madison. Him getting into trouble with his parents plus the stress of him having a baby caused him to flunk his classes so much that they had no choice but to hold him back a year.” Pauline sad with pride before giving a smile. “What was rotten luck for him, turned out to be the best thing ever happened to me.” She looked at little Nate. “My family basically gave me a lot of support when I decided to become a single mother. Even little Nate is practically my motivation to work even harder.” She then look at her fellow high school seniors. “Even though I shouldn’t I believe I deserve to give him a chance to hear him out.”
“Quick question are you aware that the room will allow you to change your age?” Asked Daniel.
“Well duh, I saw the video.” Pauline answered sarcastically.
“There is actually a feature in the room that will allow you to change your age by mire thought.” Sumire said which caused Pauline to raise an eyebrow.
“Really?” She asked out of curiosity.
“Yes, me and Sumire tested out for a bit before we got back to our original ages when we headed out for dinner.” Answered Daniel but for some reason even if he was telling a truth about that bit, he was lying about him and his girlfriend testing it out. Pauline wonder why.
“Odd it never mention that in the video.” Pauline stated.
“It’s because the Principal concern for your mental state if place in such a room had that feature turn off.” Sumire said before Pauline can ask she continued. “I overheard the teachers talking about it complaining. Why does that feature has to be turned off for your room specifically when all rooms carry this feature.” However there were lies mixed in with the truth and Pauline again couldn’t tell what they were lying about.
“So what about it?” Asked Pauline. “By the looked, but I have nothing to fear.”
“Seth maybe a class clown. But he was smart. He knew to save his allowance from his parents and that accumulated to hundreds of thousands of dollars maybe even a million.” Daniel answered. “If he is able to spend that money to figure out where we are going for the school trip and spend it so he can skip school to come here. you could be damn sure that he could bribe one of the hotel staff to turn on the feature in your room.”
Pauline was starting to see what the two are getting at, Seth has always been charismatic and claimed to be smart. After all, he was able to talk her into sleeping with him at junior prom. But now give me the fact that her having a baby had technically ruined his life. She was pretty sure that he would finally want to get rid of that problem. It was a stretch, but he could probably trick her into unbirthing Nate probably making themselves younger to junior prom and then having sex while she was pregnant with all three of them regressing.
Pauline heart shattered at the thought of unconceiving Nate, because she knew that if either one of them had leave the resort without reconceiving Nate specifically if Seth age himself back up to 18 and left the resort. It could alter reality as she knew it, even if she could find a new ‘father’ for Nate it wouldn’t be the same. The downside of this is that Seth could walk away with a change history. One where he did disappoint his parents maybe he still failed and got held back but overall it would be a bit better than when he has so far.
“If that is the case than I definitely can not bring Nate to this meeting.” Pauline said after having minutes of silence to come to this realization. Daniel and Sumire smiled at this cause they were glad they got through to her. Henry just sat there and stared in wonder like all toddlers do.
“Look, you know me, Pauline you can leave Nate with me for a bit. Overnight if necessary.” Daniel said and Pauline was shocked at the offer. She and Daniel were friends maybe not close enough as she and Madison were but close enough that yeah she could trust him with Nate for a short period of time maybe overnight. Before she can give her response her phone rang again. This time it was a number that she didn’t recognize. Frustrated yet again, Pauline press the answer button yet again, and held the phone to her ear.
“Hello?” She asked.
