Jennifer waited in the nurses office as she kicked her feet idly as she waited for her mom to arrive.
It didn't take long as Jennifer could see her mom talking to the doctor, probably explaining the whole situation. Jennifer waived "Hi mom!" As she slid off the table.
Her mom looked over Jennifer worriedly, "Hmm, ok, let's get you home." she said as she led Jennifer by hand out to the car.
Jennifer sneezed again, her brain losing the rest of any maturity or knowledge a nine year old wouldn't know. "Are we gonna be home yet?" she asked impatiently.
"In a minute Jennifer." her mom said gently. Jennifer crossed her arms with a hrm sound.
The car ride was mostly uneventful, Jennifer tapping on the doorframe until they pulled into the house.
As Jennifer stood up she once again sneezed, her knowledge of math suddenly shooting back to pre-K, which is too say, near completely gone. Jennifer tried to think, she could count to five, but she had trouble with the number after it, but she always got ten!
