The pill had certainly changed how recruiters looked at players for their team. Once upon a time, Hal would only have to compete with guys for his spot on a team. Now, they would offer scholarships to girls if they were willing to switch sex.
There were some regulations over sex. As long as the player changed to the baseline sex of the team they would be on, you could take a scholarship for either. Nothing fancy, just converting to what you could have been born as.
While the boys team poached potential girls for their teams, the girls teams had done the same. Which resulted in Hal finding him self with only offers for scholarships with the condition he drop his Y chromosome.
Hal read over the scholarship. He needed to be fully converted by the time Spring training began. Hal held the pill in his hand. He had gone to the therapist with his reasoning, and while he had never thought about becoming a girl, he was able to make his case and get approved.
If he took it, Hal would be gone in eight days and Hailey would be learning the difference between softball and baseball. If he didn't, his dream would be gone. The MLB recruited from softball teams now, so he'd have a shot. He wouldn't be able to change back for a year, but he could change back. College was supposed to be a time for experimenting and learning new things.
Hal took a deep breath, then popped the pill in. With a loud gulp, he walked to his mirror. Hal's hair was a little shaggy. He had been letting it grow out just in case he went throigh with it. His muscles would make a movie star jealous. However, the pill would likely smooth things out.
Hal took a photo for his doctor. He would have to wear a sports bra for the later pictures but he could do without for now. He would also have to take a few test to make sure his...her hormone levels were withing the parameters of normal women. Wouldn't want to cheat with testosterone levels to be unnaturally high.
