As the stroller rolled into the doctors office, Jen felt a flicker of hope! There on the wall was a directory showing where the offices of the various doctors were. And on the top right was Dr. Stinebeck MD! Her heart soared, until her mom took her in the opposite direction to the pediatric wing. It sank even further as another ripple made itself known. A pacifier appeared in her mouth, she found herself suddenly gripping a teddy bear, and her shoes turned into soft booties reserved for only the very young.
