Elf Macy Lightwood, First Daughter of the Aelinor Grove & Fairy Jess Applebark Of Glittershade Glade

added by Anonymous 2 days ago AP BM S Magic Reality alteration

Back in the store, Macy’s eyes lit up as she stumbled across a new rack near the back — two striking costumes hanging beside each other like fate itself had aligned them.

“Ooooh Jess, look!” Macy said, holding up a flowing green-and-gold dress with intricate leaf embroidery, paired with a delicate circlet and long golden wig. “It’s an elf outfit — and this one’s a fairy costume! We have to try them!”

Jess raised a skeptical brow, staring at the frilly pastel pink outfit Macy now held up in front of her. It had gossamer wings, sparkling bodice accents, and a skirt made of layered translucent petals.

“Are you serious? I’m not putting that on.”

“Oh come on,” Macy grinned. “You said yes to the maid outfit and the superhero getup. What’s so bad about being a cute little forest fairy? It'll be fun!”

Jess opened her mouth to argue — but the outfit was already being shoved into her hands.

“Fine,” she muttered. “But this is the last one.”

The girls retreated to their respective dressing rooms once again.

Inside, Jess sighed as she looked at the fairy costume. Ugh, what even is this? She slipped it on anyway, piece by piece, trying not to think too hard about how the soft wings felt like they were fusing to her back, or how the skirt shimmered unnaturally under the fluorescent lights.

Then her vision shifted.

She staggered as the world around her expanded rapidly — no, she was shrinking. Her legs buckled and she fell backward, landing softly… on a dressing room bench that now looked massive.

She looked down. “W-what the hell?!”

Her arms were now barely thicker than toothpicks, her hands tiny and delicate. The frilly fairy costume had resized with her, hugging her now palm-sized frame. Her back twitched — wings. Working wings. They flapped with her panic.

The door to Macy’s dressing room creaked open.

A tall shadow stretched across the floor, and Jess gawked up as a towering, radiant woman stepped out. Macy’s body had changed — now over six feet tall, slim but strong, with long golden hair cascading in smooth waves. Her ears were long and pointed, a soft glow outlining her presence.

Her outfit was no Halloween costume anymore — it was regal. Flowing robes of elven green and gold, a leaf-shaped pendant around her neck, and a quiet confidence that made her seem like a creature of legend.

“Oh, there you are, Applebark,” the elf woman said with a faint smile. “You always take your time with your wings.”

Jess fluttered up into the air, instinctively trying to gain distance. “M-Macy?! What the hell is going on?”

But Macy didn’t blink. “Macy? I know no Macy. I am Macy Lightwood, First Daughter of the Aelinor Grove, and you are my trusted fairy guide — Jess Applebark of the Glittershade Glade. Honestly, did you take another hit of moonflower dust again? You’re acting daft.”

Jess’s mouth fell open. “Moon—what?! This isn’t right! Macy! Snap out of it!”

“Still in character, I see.” Macy Lightwood chuckled, reaching up and gently plucking Jess out of the air with two long fingers, cradling her in her palm. “You’re always such a dramatic little sprite.”

“I swear to god, put me down!”

“No need to shout,” she said sweetly, poking Jess in the belly. “You’re going to scare the mushrooms.”

From afar, Ryan nudged Billy. “Dude. Did you see that? She’s like a pocket-sized Tinkerbell now!”

Billy stared. “And Macy? She’s like… Galadriel crossed with a Victoria’s Secret model…”

“This is gold,” Ryan said, snapping more pictures. “Okay, okay — let’s see how far this ‘fantasy mode’ can go. What if they think they’re on a quest?”

Billy smirked. “With, like, riddles and magic and dragons and stuff?”

“Exactly. Let’s give them a reason to leave the store. Maybe a prophecy.”

Ryan began typing again.
