Jane dug through the bag, nothing. She turned to her father. "Um, Dad, where's my phone?"
Her dad gave a chuckle. "You know the rules, you'll get your phone once you turn fifteen this weekend. I know you're excited." Tommy's head poked into the front "Hey where's my phone, it's all ours birthday remember-" a hand appearing, covering his face as he was pulled back by his brother, another voice shouting "Yea hey Dad wheres our phones?"
The car began to rock with the fighting done with the five teenage boys. Her Dad shouting "Hey, enough! No fighting when I'm driving! Wait till we're home." The car going quite. "You're sister gets a phone first because she's the responsible one, you'd just break it." He gestured to all the boys in the back. The kids all groaning in unison. Despite being shoved into this new reality, Jane could really feel the familiar tones with everyone, even if it was a bit corny. She would just need to wait two days till her birthday, she could manage being a freshmen again, or well, a freshman girl for the first time...right?
