The Madame Illusia

Life Of A Parrot

added by Elflover 28 days ago A O Magic Mental Avian

Damon, without a thought for his former human life, simply flew off and enjoyed himself immensely. Oh, flying was more tiring and demanding in energy than he had assumed, but the benefits were quite enthralling. He could FLY from one tree to the other and he squawked with joy. He utterly - and literally - preened as he gazed at his magnificent plumage. As he rested on a branch within a public park, he saw peacocks and laughed at them. Ah! They thought they looked so great, what with their tails. The males, anyway. But these tails were so big and cumbersome! And they couldn't even speak! What braggarts! Damon knew parrots were so much smarter than peacocks anyway. And peacocks might seem pretty in a garden but they had no personality. Indeed, they possessed no true redeeming quality apart from their pretty tail feathers. They could not even fly away as they pleased, just like Damon could. And these peacocks shared their grounds with deer. They had to bunk with imposed roommates. Damon felt proud he was not tethered to such nonsensical captivity. What an annoying drag! Damon flew on, happy with his lot indeed. He perched on another low branch and he made kids laugh by repeating their words, especially the cuss words they playfully threw at him. He then landed on a table where a little girl was eating ice-cream all alone. She clearly wished she could hang out with other girls - presumably those that were considered for some obscure reason - popular. She had the look of someone being rejected with no good reason. Damon did a little tap dance, flapping his wings too, in front of her and the girl laughed. She shared her ice-cream with him though Damon's new instincts told him fruits would have been nicer. He sat perched on her head and shoulder and sang. He then spotted mean girls making fun of his new friend and he defecated on their faces. They left, disgusted and as it got dark, Damon left. The little girl went back home, happy with her colourful friend. Damon settled on a branch for the night, though he wished for a most comfortable location. Maybe tomorrow.
Unfortunately, if Damon was going to have a better bed soon, it was because he was about to get captured...
