With a surge of hope, she hit Confirm, not knowing what to expect. Sophia's eyes widened as she noticed her phone slipping from Jane's grasp, but it was too late. The screen flickered, and reality shifted once more.
As the change took hold, Sophia vanished, replaced by a woman Jane had never seen before. The unfamiliar woman wore a warm smile and efficiently continued changing Jane's diaper. But that wasn't the most astonishing part – another toddler girl, around Jane's age, lay beside her on the changing table. The employee began to change this new toddler's diaper, cooing softly.
"Time for a fresh diaper, Sophia!"
Jane's eyes widened. Sophia? The toddler beside her was Sophia? Surely the phone ended up transforming Sophia into her sister, and just by her looks, Sophia seemed to have lost her memories, since now she only babbled and giggled at the employee's friendly comments.
As the employee continue changing Sophia's diaper, Jane seized the opportunity to use the app again and started trying to find a sentence that would help her return to normal. She generated different sentences and change them, but each time she hit Confirm, nothing seemed to change about her situation.
As the employee was about to finish changing Sophia, Jane generated another sentence, changed some prompts, and hit Confirm. The world shifted again. This time, both Jane and Sophia transformed into 1-year-old baby girls. Their clothes changed to adorable baby outfits, complete with bibs and soft shoes. Jane let out a frustrated wail, realizing she was now even more helpless than before.
With her last effort, Jane generated another sentence, her small and chubby fingers flying across the screen. She changed some prompts and tapped Confirm. This time, the change wasn't about Jane. Sophia's eyes snapped into focus, and she gasped, her face contorting in shock and dismay. "What...what's happening?" she thought, her memories flooding back.
Before Sophia could say anything else, the employee returned, and Jane knew she had to hide the phone. With all her baby strength, she threw the phone behind the changing table, out of sight.
The employee picked up both Jane and Sophia, and carried them outside to the waiting van. Both Jane and Sophia were surprised to see that some things had changed drastically. Mr. Thompson, was now a tall, imposing woman in a business suit. And Jane’s brothers were now baby girls who wore babyish outfits. Soon, Jane and Sophia were placed in baby seats side by side. Sophia began to get fussy, and Jane soon followed. Mrs. Thompson calmly placed pacifiers in their mouths, soothing them.
As the van moved forward, Jane sucked on her pacifier, thinking about the events of the day. Meanwhile, Sophia, despite being a baby, managed to convey a stern demand with her baby talk, demanding Jane to explain what had happened. Soon, a baby argument began between the two.
"Ba, ba, goo! (Why am I a baby!?)" Sophia insisted, her gaze fixed on Jane.
