Mark, now Amphibia, did not get used to his -or rather her - new life. Everyday was as miserable as the first. Worst of all, the former frat boy had to contend with Amphibio, a mate that was convinced he had always been a gross gillwoman. Mark was left with a secondary set of memories too, which was extremely disturbing to say the least. He knew these were fake memories but it was rather unnerving to possess them anyhow. This meant he could recall a life as a fish-girl. Ugh! It was completely vile! He could remember seeing two eggs - his smaller brother and sister - hatch and looking, mesmerised, as a little gillgirl. At least he could not recall his own hatching, just as he could not remember his own birth as a human. The mere notion made him want to retch profusely. He could also think about his father, a powerful gillman who was so strong as a hunter that he had brought down alligators and hippopotamuses. As for his mother, she was a truly a beauty of a gillwoman. Amphibia knew she resembled her and had glowed with absolute pride each time another gillperson told her such a statement. And Amphibia simply ADORED any pretty trinket to enhance her beauty. Pearls, gems, pretty stones,... She loved it! Moreover, Amphibia's mother spun the greatest dresses for her out of the best seaweed too. Yes, Amphibia had been the pretty girl of the family and she had never tired from it. She had loved preening and combing, posing lasciviously upon rocks, using her beauty to get away with anything. But in the end, her beauty had backfired on her. A poacher had netted and captured her, only to sell her half a continent away to another gillman, coincidentally named almost the same as her. Amphibio was a decent enough mate but she had wanted a much more handsome young gillman, and a whole lot more romantic too. Who knew how to appreciate the beauty that she was. And Amphibio could get annoyed at her having been privileged all her life and not knowing how to be the perfect housewife. Mark hated that Amphibia personality just as he hated taking care of tiny little fish-creatures that were so annoying and ugly! Amphibia would consider two or three as pretty as she was, but Mark found them all revolting. Mark wanted out of this life. Did the parents of Amphibia even exist? Were these memories a reflection of an actual life? Mark thought about talking to the other frat boys, just to see what they had become and what their conclusions were. Another idea was just to use his new aquatic body to simply leave and find himself a new existence. Or solution to his disgusting problem. Maybe a user of magic could make him a human male again...
