While Damon was living his best life as a parrot, going around enjoying the wonderful gift of flight, Monica was not at all having the same thrill at being now an animal. The farmer that had agreed to take her from that horrible witch was aware that she was a human being and as a result he was quite patient but he still treated her as a horse, not minding snapping at her and slapping her if she got angry or cocky, telling her again and again that she was a horse now, whether she liked it or not. He was an excellent horse breeder though and he rewarded Monica when she complied with what her new life demanded. But he understood that Monica required taming, in all senses of the term. A new challenge for the farmer but he enjoyed those with horses. Though this one was unprecedented for sure. But that farmer was also quite intelligent and he saw the advantages that Monica would bring, if he played his cards right. What's more, Monica was a very beautiful horse. That sorceress' spell had been extraordinary in that regard. Monica looked like a mixed breed of an American paint horse and an Arabian horse, her colors being of the former. He renamed her "Tempest" and affectionately nicknamed her a "good Bessy" as he did all his mares. Yes, she had the makings of a true champion. His friends and colleagues already were awed by his amazing find. He simply had to condition Monica to accept her fate. He could already see that equine instincts were seeping into her. Yes, he simply had to work on that. Furthermore, he promised himself to return to the carnival next year. Another fine horse like that, he would not say no at all...
