Mark reflected upon what the witch had said. Of course, he COULD save up more and get the whole transformation but... In truth, the idea of staying as a gillwoman repulsed him. He couldn't stay longer like this. And his own babies... Ugh! How vile they were! Scaly, green or blue, with gills and completely alien-like... Ugh! He was not that sick chick from that "Shape of Water" movie! To think he had to give birth to alien now... Worse, being one! Disgusted by his own appearance, he took his decision fast.
"I choose to become human. Too bad if I have to be a chick. I'll pay you afterwards to become a guy again," he admitted.
Desperate, Mark figured he could go to the satyr village and ask his pals to give him gems or gold. If they saw it work out, he'd help them transform back into normal dudes again.
"Perfect," smiled the witch.
She pocketed the valuables and set about making the potion. She uttered spells and added ingredients, most of them foul-smelling. When she handed the crudely carved goblet to Mark, he stared at it. It looked like she had added slime and lily pads to mud from the swamp. Had she swindled him? Was she just about to poison him? But he was so desperate... He took a deep breath - which he regretted deeply, considering the smell of the brew - and gulped. The effects were instantaneous. He felt his skin ripple. His scales vanish. His facial features move. His hands and feet lose their webbing. His lips retract. His nose protrude. When the transformation was over, he was a female in loose clothes, but human for sure. He breathed in relief. No penis and testicles yet but he was fully human! He thanked the witch and left, determined to go to the satyr village and get shelter and help there. Amphibio could deal with the kids in his own! Mark wouldn't miss that frog-like jerk! In spite of the distance, he started going towards the village. Unfortunately, he was unaware of the dangers of being a woman on her own, when so many monsters prowled about. And Mark was about to run into very unpleasant company indeed...
