“Hey babe, guess what?” Lucy asked excitedly. “I just remembered-!”
“Darling, darling I have wonderful news!” Marinette interjected.
“Fuck off princess, I got here first!” Lucy snapped, before smiling and saying “The Lakeside Food Festival is in town and I have tickets for tonight!”
“Funny, there’s a party at the other end of town.” Marinette smirked.
“Girls…” Sam sighed.
“And why does that matter?” Lucy asked.
“If you must know, a potential client will be hosting a murder mystery night, with costumes.” Marinette smiled.
“As if Colin wants to go play dress up all night when there’s a whole bunch of crazy stuff to taste, the theme this time? The elements!” Lucy smiled.
“Girls….” Sam scowled sternly.
“Some foul gimmicky concoctions? Nonsense!” Marinette scoffed, “There will be plenty to have from the banquet.”
“Colin’s going with Christy tonight!” Sam snapped.
“You got all dressed up for her?!” Lucy said as she stomped over to him, “To do what? bingo at the senior center? Sit at the library? What could she do that would possibly make renting that suit worth it?”
“I sewed it myself, you disrespectful twit!” Marinette interjected, “Darling, surely zis is a mistake of some kind?”
“Well…..” Colin started.
“I’m sure somebody else could go with you guys.” Sam sighed.
“As if Christy has anything planned!” Lucy huffed, “Pretty sure she’s busy sitting at home, organizing her cat- oh you’re here,”
“What’s going on?” The ginger asked innocently, “Aren’t you two going somewhere Sam?”
“The party’s cancelled, you get Colin tonight.” Sam said as she headed to the kitchen for some water.
“Come on Christy, I already bought tickets, there’s a live DJ and free crap and everything!” Lucy said “Let me take him to Food Fest!”
“Nonsense, let us be heading our way to the murder mystery, I could use some new connections!” Marinette said as she shoved Lucy out of the way.
“…Well what about something I want to do?” Christy asked.
“No offense darling, but you’re not precisely thrilling company.” Marinette replied.
“It’s probably not gonna top anything we’re planning.” Lucy sighed, “You’re kinda boring Chrissy.”
The busty ginger tried to fold her arms sternly across her chest “Is that so?”
The rivals nodded.
“Well in that case, we’ll be doing… THIS!” Christy said as she snatched something and dragged Colin out the door with a slam.
“I must’ve dozed off, what’d I miss?” Angela said as she stirred from the couch and closed her laptop.
“Christy just left with Colin.”Sam said with a sip.
“AND SHE TOOK-“
