Leah tries to walk to a corner to hide from the babies, but after making eye contact with one that is crawling, is forced on all fours as well. She eventually crawls to the corner and turns away from the babies, trying to pretend that she's playing with some toys.
"Psst! Leah!" a voice hisses. Leah turns her head. Her heart drops. It's Greggy. Greggy sits back on his heels. "I'm not here to make you shit yourself again," he says in a surprisingly mature voice. "I wanted to apologize."
"What- you- explain!" Leah splutters. Greggy sighs.
"I'm actually sixteen. Like you, I was abnormally small for my age. People thought I was a baby all the time. But then one day, I made eye contact with a baby at a park, and, well. I slowly started acting more and more like a baby, and enjoying it, too!"
"I'm not the only one," Leah says. Greggy shakes his head.
"Far from it. All us teen babies have a group chat. I'll invite you."
"How did this start?"
"It's some weird punishment thing. The guy in the group chat who's been a teen baby the longest, he says his mom was sick of him getting into trouble, and...well, he doesn't know what she did. Hypnosis, a weird virus, magic... Whatever it was, any time he saw a baby, he would mimic them. And like the behavior while he was doing it. Gradually, the length of time he enjoyed the baby behaviors got longer and longer, until he no longer disliked it. One day, his mom brought him to one of her friend's house. The friend had a tiny teenage boy. The teen baby, Rowan, couldn't help himself but make eye contact with the teen and do a baby thing. Then, to his shock, the other teen did the baby thing, too."
"That's why you did that to me in the store," Leah says, shocked. Greggy nods.
"I couldn't help it."
"If it's a punishment, does that mean it wears off?"
"It can't wear off. It only gets stronger, until you love being a baby. But your parents can remove it. That's what happened to the second teen baby."
"What about the first?"
"He's getting his diaper changed."
"He's still a baby."
"Yep. And happy about it. So is his mom."
"Were you turned into a baby for punishment?"
"Yeah..." Greggy looks embarrassed. "I stole a car. My mom decided that enough was enough, and somehow got into contact with the first teen baby's mom. Before I knew it, I was diapered in daycare."
"Okay, but I don't know why Tina would be punishing me."
"She might not be. This whole baby thing, it only works on teens of a certain size. Teens our size are so uncommon, it's difficult to stumble across one by accident." Greggy gets into a squat. "Speaking of accident..."
There's a loud hiss as he wets himself. Unable to stop it, Leah pees as well, her diaper getting yellow and pleasantly warm.
"Feels nice, doesn't it?" Greggy says, sitting back down. Leah nods. "In a couple minutes, you'll be upset. But like I said, that eventually stops happening."
"What am I supposed to do?" Leah demands. "I can't just become a baby!"
"I'll talk to my mom. She'll know if this is punishment or otherwise on purpose. If it's an accident, hopefully she can help your mom fix it."
"Stepmom."
"Oh. Yikes." Greggy pops a pacifier into his mouth. "Wanna play?" he asks around the pacifier.
"Um."
"There's no point in fighting it, Leah. You might as well embrace it."
"Well..." Leah sighs. He's right. She just has to wait until his mom can talk to Tina. "All right. But I want a pacifier first."
