Amber returned from picking up Eliza. She loved that little girl so much and wished they could keep her. But when Jake got pregnant with triplets, it just didn't make money sense anymore. In the meantime, Amber could still bond with her.
Amber removed her shirt and bra. Thanks to a study she'd participated in, she was lactating. She held Eliza up to one breast. Eliza latched on. Amber sighed. She was going to miss this.
Out of the corner of her eye, Amber spotted Jake's phone on the kitchen counter. He must have forgotten it. She could hear the shower still running. She picked it up. There was a weird app open with a sentence on screen.
"Amber and Jake make less than enough money to keep Eliza." After a moment, Amber changed "less" to "more". She looked around in shock as the world changed. Their modest apartment turned into one that would cost more money than she and Jake made in a year. Her clothes changed, becoming high end fashion brands. And on the living room wall, newspaper clippings and new photos appeared.
Amber walked over. Her eyes widened. When Jake became pregnant both times, they kept it hush hush, prioritizing their privacy. But these were articles and interviews about the process. And pictures of Jake pregnant with Eliza, meeting the president!
Did she just...change reality? Well, if that was the case, there was something she definitely wanted different. She opened the app and generated a new sentence.
"Jake is taller than Amber." Amber changed "taller" to "shorter". The pictures on the wall changed, with Jake now just an inch or two under five feet. Amber beamed. Just like she'd always wished!
The shower turned off. Amber quickly put the phone back. She trusted Jake. Even if he changed something, she knew he'd do it to make things better for the two of them.
Jake walked into the kitchen wearing his favorite pair of maternity yoga pants and a T-shirt. Eliza, who had finished nursing, reached for him, fussing.
"Aw, come here," Jake gushed. Amber handed Eliza over. Jake cooed over his daughter. Their daughter. "I'm so happy all those television and radio appearances and interviews paid so well. We can adopt her without it causing even a small dent in our budget."
"Yeah." Amber leaned over to kiss the top of Jake's head. God, she already loved being taller than him! "I've got to run to the bathroom. Be right back." She placed a hand on his massive baby bump, feeling their sons kicking, then went to the bathroom.
Jake sighed happily. He grabbed his phone off the kitchen counter and sat down in the living room. Yes, he'd been apprehensive about going public with the whole "pregnant man" thing, but it got them a lot of money. And, if he was being honest, it fueled his kink to know that so many people were aware he was pregnant as a cis man.
While Eliza settled on his lap, Jake pulled open the app. The sentence he saw made him frown.
"Jake's parents strongly disapprove of his relationship and two pregnancies."
