"How do you feel?" Lilia quietly asked Janessa, once they were in the carriage and moving again.
"Unwell," Janessa confessed. "I thought perhaps I was seasick on the ship, though I have never been seasick before."
"But your illness is still ongoing?" Lilia asked. Janessa nodded. The lovely, busty redhead did look remarkably green, an unpleasant grimace on her face. "Tell me your symptoms."
"I am thoroughly nauseated. For the most part, in the mornings on the ship was when I noticed it strongest." At that, Vidar suddenly paid attention. "I am tired, faint..." Janessa trailed off. "Do you know of an illness that could be?"
Lilia laughed, trying to put her friend at ease.
"Dear Janessa, that sounds like most illnesses! When we arrive, I will summon the court doctor to examine you. He is a Witch, and knows many spells for determining problems," she said soothingly. Janessa nodded weakly. "But for now, just take a nap. We will wake you when we arrive."
The redhead closed her eyes. Very quickly, she fell asleep, allowing Lilia and Vidar to have a hushed conversation.
"Is she with child?" Vidar hissed.
"She was a concubine. I would not be surprised if she is. Though that would make things difficult. Particularly given that the child's father is a King." Lilia squeezed Vidar's hand. "But it is just as likely she has an illness. Or is merely overwhelmed and anxious! She has been through much lately. It is more than enough to make one feel ill."
