Rabbit-boy finally lets go of his ears, and spotting a puddle of water on the ground reflecting moonlight, he drops to all fours and tries to see his face in it. He twitches his long gray ears together, then he swivels them one at a time. You release your bushy fox tail from your hands and practice waving it around behind you, looking back at the gestures your vulpine limb is making. The animal life force that has filled bubbles up within you at the sight of it, and you start to feel a strange sort of pride at the graceful, pleasantly adorned appendage now at your disposal.
The man with rabbit ears is staring at his reflection when he grunts again, and you see a bright gray glow in the back of his pants. You know what's happening to him. A bright red light pours out of every inch of you, and as it fades, it leaves something else behind: black hairs are surging out of your arms and legs. You pull up your shirt and see white fur forming on your belly while orange fur spreads from your sides. Your eyes widen. You touch your new-grown fur moan. It's so warm and soft. No human clothing you have ever worn comes close. You go ahead and rip off the shirt, leaving your furry, fox-tailed body fully nude.
"Aah! What is this?!" comes a frightened voice from beside you. It's the man with rabbit ears. He's reaching down the back of his pants. The glow has faded and he is trying to identify something behind him. "You--" he says "--please, I can't see back there--tell me--" His voice trails off as he quickly turns his back to you and lowers just the very to of his pants. Something white and fluffy pokes out above them and starts to wiggle around. Something about seeing this triggers some urge or instinct inside you, like you want to give chase. Maybe even bite something? You zone out for a second watching it flick around, then you shake your head to clear your thoughts. You answer his question: "It looks like a rabbit tail." Something in you likes the idea of running as fast as you can to catch up with something that looks like that. "It looks good," you say more to yourself than to him.
"What--good? What do you mean it's a--ooph."
His body tenses. They gray mist grows around him again. The red mist grows around you. Then the glowing mystical mists focus themselves on the parts they're going to change again. You logically think you should be terrified of becoming an animal. But you can't help but feel some suspenseful excitement about maybe getting a little bit more like a fox...
