Jennifer felt the transformation penetrating her body. Her stature and signs of maturity slowly regressing back in time. The curse peeled and ate the years out of her as Jennifer’s body shrunk down. The now seventeen year old Jennifer watched in horror as the bathroom around her changed to a something different. The new bathroom looked more nostalgic than new as if she had seen it before. It was until Jennifer had shrunk down in size and saw from the mirror's reflection the fifteen year old Jennifer who looked back at her. She finally realized where or when she was.
Jennifer was back at their old house’s bathroom. It was the time of her life where she was forced to live with her father. Back then, or rather now in the present, Jennifer’s father Otto Smith had divorced Jennifer’s mother Annabel. Jennifer’s mother had taken her old surname back and she called herself Annabel Johnson.
Jennifer gulped when remembered that this year in particular was her most eventful year in her life. First was the divorce. Then Jennifer's dad found Jennifer’s stepmother and he remarried with his new wife. Then they all moved to Glendale once Otto cheered up. In Glendale Jennifer pursued her dream of becoming a cheerleader and Jennifer’s father was promoted as the vice president of the biggest company in Glendale. But all that hadn’t happened yet except for the divorce. Jennifer had a gut feeling telling that it had already happened. She looked at her younger reflection with a worry in her face. Jennifer had played with the thought how different her life could had been if her father never got married or nevver moved on with his past life. Jennifer didn’t want that to happen for real but there was a big issue in front of her.
This was Jennifer’s father, Otto Smith’s, lowest point in his life. A single wrong move or a word could alter the history in ways Jennifer couldn’t imagine. Jennifer’s father was depressed and spent most of his time at home looking for job applications. Jennifer remembered that her father received a call from a friend who had told him to move to Glendale. What if her father got distracted and somehow missed the life changing call. If he missed it. It was going to be game over for Jennifer.
“This can’t be real.” Jennifer slammed her open palm loudly on to the bathroom’s mirror.
Jennifer had no idea what to do. She couldn’t exactly recreate her past to make sure that the next day she would wake up at her future Glendale home. The curse asked her to do the impossible but even then. Jennifer hadn’t realized that the past had been changed when she had slammed her hand on to the bathroom’s mirror.
“Jennifer. I heard something. Are you okay?” Jennifer’s father Otto asked from the other side of the locked bathroom door.
Jennifer turned her head towards the bathroom door. She had to think fast.
