Lisa and Dustin suddenly found themselves in the control room of Jupiter Supercomputing Facility 1, which Ty had previously created to reassemble Lisa from four billion pieces. The lights were off, but the temperature and air seemed fine, so life support was apparently working fine. The view was, as usual, stunning. Lisa stood for a moment, staring out the window. Behind her, Dustin stood, staring out through Lisa's aquarium body.
Abruptly she turned. "We'd better get to work!" Pushing the supercomputer's keyboard aside, she set the laptop down on the table, and opened it back up. The Ty Rescue Plan window was still open, and she clicked the continue button.
Now the window gave a list of steps to bring the station and supercomputer fully online. It all had to do with breakers in the main power control panel. "Dustin, I'll go to the power panel. Will you please read off these instructions to me, one at a time?"
"Certainly," he replied. He waited briefly while she opened the panel, then told her the first breaker to turn on.
"Check," she said, and they continued until they'd completed all of the steps. She went back to the laptop, and pressed continue.
"Wait for supercomputer to boot to prompt," the next instruction read. She turned on the monitor, and saw the tail end of a huge number of highly technical boot log messages scroll by, followed by the "LisaRescueOS 1.0" banner, and then a command prompt.
Lisa clicked continue again on the laptop. The next instructions were to plug the SSD into a port on the supercomputer, and then to type in a complicated command. She did that, doubled-checked that she had typed the command correctly, and pressed enter. The supercomputer display gave a countdown for estimated time to completion, which was a little over twelve minutes.
She clicked the continue button on the laptop, and the new instruction there was just to wait for the supercomputer to finish its work.
"I supposed all we can do now is wait," Dustin said, and Lisa nodded. They moved to two of the comfortable chairs Ty had created facing the window, and resumed staring out.
After a while, they heard an alert sound from the supercomputer. The jumped up and ran over to the console. It said "Internal error C902FF31. Proceed (Y/N)?"
"What does that mean?" Lisa asked. "What do we do now?" She looked to the laptop, to the Ty Rescue Plan window, but its message was unchanged.
