That evening, Kat's mom and dad came home to a dimly lit house, the dining table set out with candles and fine china. Kat came through from the kitchen.
"I've decided that I'm too old to be relying on you", she said, wiping seawater from her chef's apron, "so I'm going to prepare a nice lobster dinner tonight."
"Oooh!" Her dad loved lobster. "Thank you very much dear, and happy birthday. Where's your brother?"
"He said something about staying over at his friends, I dunno, I think he left a note." Kat handed a note in "Dan"'s handwriting to her dad. She'd done it herself.
She went through to the kitchen where Dan was tied up and placed on a chopping board. However, she lifted him off and placed him into a water tank, which she wheeled into the front room.
"Huge, isn't he?" She wheeled the tank around the room, her parents in awe. Her mom was slightly suspicious. "Where did you get it?"
"The market down by the docks, cost fifty bucks, but you can't put a price on fine dining!"
She hurredly took him back through, feeling under pressure. "I bet get you ready so that it's too late to do anything if they find out..."
Kat reached for a large butcher's knife, some condiments, and a collection of cooking tools. Dan grimaced, and leant back...
