Dan's new ears

All of a sudden, Dan couldn't hear. Then, after a short numb period on his head, his senses resumed. However, he seemed to be able to hear a little better than before.

He put his hands on his head and felt around his hair. His ears weren't on the side of his head anymore; they were now on top, protruding from his hair. They seemed to be covered in short and soft hair aswell.
