Mary scoffed, not believing the Vials to be anything more than a joke. "Very funny, whoever you are," she muttered to the box. She picked up a few of the vials, looking at their labels and squinting her eyes to inspect the liquid. All of the vials seemed to be filled with water. She took one of the bunch she had taken and set the rest back in their places. This one had a picture of a tiger on it. Mary popped off the cap and sniffed. She couldn't smell anything. She hesitated in case the vial was poisoned, but who would invent such an elaborate ruse to get her to take poison?
Finally, she thought "Hell with it." She sipped it at first, then when she didn't taste anything but water, she drank the entire vial. She swallowed, then waited for something to change...or for her to start coughing up blood. She set the vial back into the box and closed the lid. "It'll make a weird conversation piece, at any rate," she said to herself. She read the note again, then noticed it had writing on the back.
"Allow 24 hours for the Vial you have chosen to complete its work. You can abort a change at any time by drinking the Human vial."
She put the note on top of the box and went to fix herself some breakfast. "In 24 hours you're going to be in a trash can," she muttered.
