Mary knew that that anything could happen if she consumed the contents of one or more of those vials. Being a risk taker however, Mary wasn’t one to turn down the potential for fun.
She picked up the telephone and called her boyfriend Norm to tell him about the vials. While he didn’t appear to believe her, Mary wasn’t one to give up easily. She told him that seeing was believing and asked that he come over; Norm agreed.
While Norm was on his way, Mary acquired two shot glasses from her liquor cabinet and mixed two concoctions that she felt would be perfect for them. She mixed a combination of lion and man into one shot glass and fox and woman into another. Oddly, the lion-man concoction ended up pink while the fox woman mix ended up blue.
When Norm arrived, Mary directed him to him kitchen, where she had the shot glasses waiting.
“Come on, you’re pulling my leg; vials full of liquid that can turn people into animals?” Norm asked.
“I know it sounds crazy but why not give it a try?” Mary asked.
“What if they’re poisonous?” Norm asked.
“Yeah, that’s a risk but why go to this much trouble to poison someone?”
“I guess you have a point,” Norm said.
Mary looked at the shot glasses. “So, what do you say. Want to be my big kitty cat?”
Norm looked at the glasses and shrugged his shoulders. “If this works, we can reverse it right?”
“Yes, there are human vials.”
“Oh what the hell. I know we’re crazy for trying this but as you’ve told me, we won’t get anywhere playing it safe,” Norm said.
Mary watched as Norm picked up the shot glass with the blue liquid and drank it down in a single gulp. She didn’t have time to tell him that the colors were not what they appeared to be.
“Ohoh,” Mary said.
Norm put the shot glass down. Mary saw that the initial changes were already starting to appear on his body.
“What’s wrong?” Norm asked.
“Um Norm…”
Mary watched as white hairs began sprouting all over Norm’s clean shaven chin and around his mouth while red hairs sprouted around his eyes and on his nose.
She wasn’t sure if she wanted to tell him that he’d just taken a drink that would turn him into a female fox. Of course, he’d find out soon enough.
The black hairs on Norm’s arms were turning bright red as they increased in density.
“What’s wrong?” Norm asked; his voice slightly higher pitched. “That’s odd, I’d have thought becoming a lion man would make my voice deeper. So, is my mane growing in yet?”
Mary watched as Norm’s short black hair began to grow, turning a yellow blonde as it reached his shoulders. His face started pulling into a muzzle, Mary seeing Norm’s teeth growing sharper.
Norm started itching his chest before removing his shirt. Mary saw that white hair, no; fur was already coating his chest and belly. Even the black hairs on it were turning white.
“Can I take them all off? Arn’t you going to take your glass?” Norm asked. His voice was even higher. Mary noted that Norm’s muzzle as well developed.
“Um, Norm, we have a little problem. You took the fox woman shot! I was going to tell you that the blue one was fox woman and the pink was lion man but…”
“Wait, so I’m turning into a…”
Norm pulled his jeans and underwear off. Mary saw that Norm’s penis was indeed smaller then the last time she’d seen it.
“No, this wasn’t supposed to happen!” Norm said.
“You’re not going to deal with this alone!” Mary said.
Mary grabbed the pink liquid filled shot glass and drank its contents. The liquid has a sour taste to it, which made Mary cringe.
Looking back at Norm, Mary discovered that, in the time she had turned her head, Norm’s chest had been developing. She saw that his muzzle was fully-grown and his eyes had turned amber. As well, his human ears were gone; fox ears having replaced them at the top of his head.
“Mary, why did you do that?” Norm asked.
Mary watched Norm clutch his developing breasts with hands that were coated in black fur that had stubby claw like fingernails. Norm’s breasts started out small, his expression growing increasingly concerned as they increased in size as though someone were inflating a balloon.
