Dan's fed up with this. Absolutely and completely fed up. Just what gives Kat the right to do this to him? What is so awful about him that he deserves this? Nothing. He's a teenage boy, and she's far worse than he'll ever be anyway.
He's stronger than she is, so when he gets up and runs back into the house, she can't help but let go of the leash.
"DAN!" she calls out, "GET BACK HERE!"
But he isn't listening. Instead, he's running for their parents' room, more specifically, his dad's top drawer. He yanks it open and fumbles around until he finds his dad's pistol and quickly runs back out, leveling the pistol at Kat's forehead.
"Put me back the way I was or I'll put this bullet through your head," he growls, leveling his finger on the trigger.
