"Erika!" called her sister Jackie, while opening the bedroom door. "Mom wants to know if you want cottage cheese or apple sauce for dinn..."
She froze at the sight of her younger sister.
Erika was standing in a puddle of urine, with tears running down her face. From the stench in the room it appeared that she had also soiled her panties.
Erika’s face turned beet red.
“Erika, are you alright?” asked Jackie, walking closer.
Erika shook her head no.
She was crying so hard, she had trouble getting any words out.
Jackie hugged her sister, being careful not to step in the puddle.
“Hey, it is okay. Accidents happen. Don’t worry, we will get this all cleaned up and nobody, not even Mom will have to find out.”
Erika managed to hold back her tears a little as Jackie stepped back a little.
“I will be right back, wait just a moment.”
Jackie left the room and was back in a minute with some old rags, a towel, and a plastic grocery bag. She had Erika put her soiled clothes in the bag and handed her the towel to wrap herself in. Jackie went to Erika’s dresser, picked out some clean clothes and handed them to Erika.
“Why don’t you go take a quick shower and get yourself cleaned up for dinner? I will clean the carpet real quick,” suggested Jackie.
“What are we going to do with the dirty clothes?” asked Erika.
“Oh, I will hide them in the basement and will clean them tomorrow when everybody is gone.”
Jackie was a freshman at the local college. Her first class was at 9 am so she had about an hour after everybody left alone in the house.
“Jackie, I think the reason I had an accident was…” started Erika, but she was interrupted by Jackie.
“Hey, don’t worry about. You don’t have to say anything. Now, hurry into the bathroom and get cleaned up. Dinner will be ready in about 5 minutes.”
With that Jackie grabbed a wet rag and started scrubbing the carpet. Erika crept out of her room wrapped in a towel and headed towards the bathroom. She made it to the bathroom without being spotted. She was starting to feel a little better. She had a great sister. She was glad Jackie was helping her so much and wasn’t going to tell Mom. It wasn’t like Mom would get upset or anything; it is just that the whole mess would be even more embarrassing than it already was.
