"What the heck did I trip over?" You mutter as you search the ground, and finally find, a golden book with a pentacle carved into the cover.

"Well lets see, I just had a weird dream, about a book, that I probaly checked out from the library or something and forgot. Nothing mythical here.... Still."

I. Fireball
This spell allows you to throw to create a ball of fire, that when thrown will explode. To cast the spell, simply use the command word 'fire' to make the initial fireball appear floating in your hand. Then just throw it at your target. The spell requires only a small amount of energy.
II. Lightning
This spell allows you to call lightning down from the sky at a target. Simply point at the target you wish to have struck with lightning, and shout the command word 'lightning'. This spell requires only a small amount of energy.
III. Ice Shards
This spell creates numerous sharp shards of ice that are instatnly propelled in the direction you are facing. The command word is 'ice' and it requires only a small amount of energy to use.
IV. Air Blast
This spell conjures up a powerful gust of wind to knock back targets. Use the command word 'air' while pointing in the direction you want the gust to follow to cast this spell. It requires only a small amount of energy to use.
V. Earthquake
This spell does exactly what it sounds like. It causes an earthquake. Just point, use the command word 'earth' and then run away as fast as possible before it occurs. The spell consumes a large amount of energy.
VI. Flash Flood
This spell summons an incredible amount of water and floods the area. Just raise both hands in the air, and use the command word 'water' to call a flood. It may be a good idea to get to a high area before casting this spell. It requires a large amount of energy.
VII. Astral Projection
This spell allows you to temporarily leave your body in soul form. While using this spell, you may enter the body of another individual only if they are sleeping to communicate with them. However, you can not take control of anyone witht his spell. It can be used to spy on someone in soul form so they can not detect you. To cast the spell you need only say the command word 'astral'. It requires an average amount of energy, and last a half hour before your soul is called back to your body.
VIII. Melding
This spell allows the caster to temporarily meld with an object for safety. While melded with that object, the caster will not come to any harm unless the object is destroyed. The caster can escape from the object at will. The command word to cast this spell is 'meld' and it requires an average amount of energy.
IX. Restoration
This spell restores a target under enchantment to their proper self. Rather they be petrified, changed into an alternate form, or turned into some inanimate object, restoration will return them to normal. The command word is 'restore' and it requires a large amount of energy.
X. Counter Spell
This spell creates a shield, that will counter and reflect the next spell cast on you back at the initial caster. It's a very useful defence. It requires a mild amount of energy to use, and is nullified after counting one spell. The command word to use this spell is 'counter'.
