"I didn't want to be a giant," Drake said, surprised at how deep his voice was now.
"Ah," said Beldazarr. "We djinn must simply interpret. You certainly did want to be bigger."
Drake tried to think, glad at least he wasn't messed up by a toddler's emotions. "I wish," he said carefully, "that my pituitary levels were normal, and that they always had been as I grew up, and that I were a completely healthy twenty-one-year-old human male named 'Drake.'"
Beldazarr sighed. "I wish you had not made that wish, o master, for know this: I am the djinn of both body AND mind."
He snapped his fingers and Drake felt his bones shift slightly, sensation returning to his hands and feet and pain easing from his back, but he did not find himself growing any smaller.
"Why am I still big?" Drake asked.
"That," Beldazarr answerered, "was one of the few things I could leave, after a fashion. You are a completely healthy young male who also happens to be nearly eleven feet tall, as that is now your genetic design. Your pituitary is not over or underactive. Indeed, it is perfectly healthy, as is all of you, including, unfortunately, your mind."
Drake thought for a moment as memories shuffled in of how he'd always been enormous but how he'd been properly and happily raised to be accepting of the fact, and now, being completely emotionally and mentally healthy, he accepted himself as he was and didn't want to change a single thing about himself.
"What happens now?" Drake asked.
Beldazarr sighed. "When a master is no longer tempted by my wishes, I must vanish to be found by another. Usually this happens because my master ends up dead or unborn, but this...well, 'healthy' does not include 'happy,' master Drake."
With that, Beldazarr and the lamp both vanished, leaving Drake wondering what he was going to do with himself as a healthy albeit huge college student.
