Transferring the phone to her other hand so she could brush the rest of her shoulder length blonde hair, Jennifer missed Kyle’s last words.
“What did you say, dweeb? I’m just brushing my hair.” Jennifer had heard him say something, she just wasn’t sure what.
“And that’s your minute gone. Now you get both.” Kyle said with a certain satisfaction.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about, moron, so how about you start making sense or I’ll just go.” Kyle ignored her.
“You’re brushing your hair, huh? You obviously take good care of it, so maybe I will too. For your Transform, your hair will grow an inch longer every hour. But every time you insult or embarrass someone, like you have been doing to me, its growth rate will double. Also, if you ever try to cut it, it will just grow back twice as thick.”
“As if! Look you’re gonna make me lat-“ Kyle cut her off.
“For your Dare, I dare you to say Transform or Dare back to me immediately and then dare me to hang up the phone.”
“Transform or Dare?” Jennifer repeated woodenly
“Dare.” Said Kyle quickly
“I dare you to hang up the phone.” She said automatically and there was a click at the other end of the line.
Free from the compulsion of Kyle’s dare, Jennifer drew a lock of gorgeous golden blonde hair in front of her eyes and looked at it.
“Exactly the same as always, what a loser.” Her scalp itched for a moment, but she thought nothing of it as she threw her books in a bag and went out to catch her bus.
