Amy's Pissed

added 16 years ago A BM

"Ok, ok, let me check with inventory. Bare with me" Grace began mumbling some sort of chant under her breath, then stopped, spread her arms....and nothing happened.

"Wait..no, no, that's not it." She began mumbling again as Amy watched on, bewildered. But this time when she spread her arms, she vanished in a puff of smoke.

"Uh..Grace? Grace, are you there?"

Amy sighed, fingering her new mohawk like mane. People dyed their hair weird colors all the time. It would draw attention, sure, but it could be explained. The rest, though...

She examined the half-hooves that were her hands, flexing them. They were much less dexterous than before. Even simple things like using a pencil or dialing a phone would be nearly impossible.

"What am I going to do if there's no way to change this?" She asked, to no one in particular.

Suddenly, there was a loud bang, accompanied by two huge puffs of smoke. As the smoke cleared, she could make out two figures. One was Grace, standing sheepishly behind the figure of an old man that appeared to be wearing a bathrobe.

"Who are you? Can you fix this?!" Amy asked frantically.

"I'm sorry, Ms. Amy, but I'm afraid I can't. Those inks were never meant to be mixed. Your situation is permanent." The old man replied.

"WHAT?!"

Grace shrank backward. The old man remained unphased.

"As I said, the changes cannot be reversed. If it's any consolation to you, you won't change any further without being exposed to more of our zebra ink."

"Oh, great. So I get to stay a purple and yellow half zebra freak!" Amy sobbed.

"Now, now. It's more like a quarter zebra. Besides, we have several er...options for people that have opted to be in your situation. We-"

"OPTIONS?! What options? What could you possibly do to make this better?!" Amy was in hysterics.

"As I was about to say, we-"

"Let me tell you about MY options. I'm going to go home. And...and when I tell my father about this he...he's going to sue you for everything you've got!" Amy declared, her defiant tone ruined by the occasional sob.

The old man frowned at that.

"I see. That's too bad."

There was a flash of light. She could hear Grace shrieking. Her vision was closing in. The last thing she heard was the clack as her new hooves hit the store's floor.

When she woke up again, she found herself...
