Mary, only eleven inches tall now, frantically worked her computer's mouse. She got her e-mail open and began typing a message, getting to her knees as her hands reached across the keyboard to press the large keys. She carbon-copied the message to everyone in her "Friends" folder, saying simply "If you can, please come to my house. URGENT. PLEASE. Come straight in and you find me in my work room. Will explain everything when you get here. PLEASE HURRY!"
Reaching for the keys got harder and harder, and by the end of the message she had to get up and walk around the keyboard to reach some of the letters without falling on others. She pushed the insanely large mouse until the pointer was on send, then pressed its left button down with both hands.
"I really hope this works," she sighed. She sat down on the comfortable mouse pad and knew there was nothing she could do but wait.
