He pressed the button to change her size, and immediately she began to grow larger. She didn't become any older, just bigger. She sat back on her butt looking around as the world became smaller to her again. Soon, she was back to her regular height, but still a baby in proportion. She kept on growing. The once canyon-like aisle of books was fast becoming too narrow for her expanding body. The baby in front of him was now as tall as him as it was sitting down. She looked worried as the book shelves next to her squeezed in on her.
Then, she pushed back against them, sending the shelves tipping over against other shelves creating a domino effect that knocked down dozens of shelves. They fell with a floor-shaking crash. People came running to see what was happening. The stopped awestruck as they caught sight of a giant naked baby sitting in front of them leaning one pudgy hand against a toppled shelf of books. It was now over 10 feet tall sitting down and still growing. They gasped and screamed like people out of a science fiction movie.
Something in Todd was screaming for him to stop everything and try to clean up this mess as best as he could, but he couldn't stop. He was too enthralled by the power. He chuckled to himself as he kept pressing the button.
And, the baby kept on growing. It's face was a mixture of worry and wide-eyed surprise. Soon, it's head touched the ceiling of the library. Seeing that, Todd began to wake up a little from his frenzy. He stopped the growth. The baby girl he had transformed was over 20 feet tall sitting down. Probably over 30 feet tall altogether.
She sat there stunned and scared. A few minutes ago, she had been minding her business reading a book, when inexplicably she had shrunk into a baby. Then, just as inexplicably she had grown into a giant baby. And now, all around her strangers were staring dumbfounded at her enormous naked baby body. It was too much for her.
She started to cry. She began wailing like the baby that she was. The sound was deafening. The people standing around covered their ears wincing. Todd did as well.
He had to do something, even if it was just to run away. What would he do now?
