Kelly was proud of his students's masculinity. No wusses!
As Jet and Martin left the office, he began to prepare for his next meeting. As much as Kelly loved slowly transforming young women into men, he realized that that was only one part of the masculinization he could accomplish. Adult women who wanted to be men were unlikely to sign up for a college-like program taking years. To appeal to them, Kelly had instituted Boy Ever After--Masculinization Academy Later-life Entrance, or BEAMALE. Today he would meet with the first BEAMALE client.
Becky Smith was in her forties with an androgynous look. Short hair, no jewelery and dressed in a severe business suit with no makeup. Kelly didn't waste time with small talk, which he viewed as, ugh, feminine.
"Why do you want to be a man?"
Ms. Smith was pleased to get right to the point.
"I founded and run my own software business, grossing about 10 million a year. Most of my peers and the people I work with are men. As a woman, I'm out of place. It's not just dealing with the obvious sexism, but men operate with a network of shared assumptions that women just don't have. I always feel like I'm missing something."
"Many women manage to deal with that." This was all pro-forma, Kelly had used the ring to wish that only women who truly wanted to be men and would be happy in their new gender would apply to the BEAMALE program. He already knew he was going to make a splendid man out of Ms. Smith. But he loved to hear individual reasons for rejecting womanhood.
"It's not just that. I like men's shared assumptions. I like the way they talk. I like the way they can swear without everyone thinking its some kind of big deal. Women, women bore me. Always talking about themselves, their diets, their clothes. Being a woman for me is like being trapped on the set of Oprah forever. And I am goddamned sick." she grimaced "of being a role model. I never want to hear some clown asking me what it's like as a woman owning a software company again!"
Kelly called up a file on his desktop screen. "I received your response on what kind of male body you want. Tall, strong, virile. . ."
"Yes, something that will make other men respect me as an equal or take my orders as a superior."
"Straight?" No accounting for taste, Kelly thought.
"Yes, I'd fit in better that way. And frankly, sometimes it seems like screwing women is the only way to get them to shut up."
"Well, the one hundred thousand has been transferred into the Academy's account, so let's get started." Kelly didn't really need the money--he could wish for whatever he wanted, but he liked the idea of making people pay something for admission to manhood.
