It was a beautiful day in the park, the first really pleasant warm day this spring. As a result of the nice weather, the park was full of people enjoying the midday sun. The park, which people had taken to calling Central Park, was a major meeting place in this college town. It was just off of campus, which meant that college students and “townies” would all mingle there on nice days. One could find people of all backgrounds, races and ages spending their time there on a Saturday like this one.
On the grass, few college girls in bikinis lay on blankets sunning themselves.
Nearby, some college guys tossed around a Frisbee.
A pair of mothers pushed their strollers and chatted with each other as they walked.
Some young children raced around playing tag.
Even an old college professor could be seen sitting on a bench reading a book.
And, all around were couples of various ages holding hands or just chatting and laughing.
In the middle of this idyllic scene was a fountain. And, sitting on a bench just across from this fountain was an improbably tall and well endowed young woman. She wore a tight sweater, a small skirt and, strangely, no shoes. If anyone came close enough to look at her bag, he or she would notice that there was a small hamster sitting on top of it. He or she would also notice the woman was holding what looked like an elaborate television remote in one hand and appeared to be looking for someone to point it at.
