Carrie looked around at all the possible test subjects that the park had to offer. She was giddy with excitement.
"Who first?" she asked to the hamster next to her. "Where do we begin?"
At first, she considered some athletic looking college guys playing touch football. She wondered what they might look like if they were suddenly 10 years younger... and girls.
It was an amusing thought, but it seemed too small somehow. For some reason, she had a craving to cause some serious havoc.
Then, she saw them. Sitting near the fountain was an 8-year-old freckle-faced boy and a cute-as-a-button blonde 5-year-old girl. The girl was happily playing with a couple of Barbie dolls, one of which wore a pink dress very much like the girl's dress. Next to her, the boy looked very bored. He clearly would rather be somewhere else right now. As Carrie watched, the boy looked resentfully at the girl. Then, with a mean smirk, he snatched the doll in the pink dress right out of the girl's hand.
"Kenny!" she shouted. "Give her back!"
"Uh uh," Kenny said and held the doll over his head, well out of the girl's reach. Both of them stood up from the bench, but the girl had no chance of reaching the doll. "What's the matter, Jenny? You wanted me to play with you. So, let's play 'keep away.'"
Jenny, the girl looked ready to cry. "I'm telling Mom when she gets back."
"Fine then, Booger Head. Maybe I'll just let Barbie take a swim," he said and motioned like he was ready to throw the doll into the fountain.
"Nooo," wailed Jenny.
Carrie smiled as she watched this all transpire before her. It was such a delicious power-dynamic playing out between the siblings. They made perfect test subjects. But, what would she do to them?
