Mary had only managed to get a few good gulps of the growth potion before it had emptied on the rug again, but it seemed to be more than enough. In seconds the five-inch tall woman was growing bigger under the shelter of her own couch. For a couple of seconds Mary lied back suddenly engulfed in terrific pleasure and moaned as she reached one foot tall.
The feelings of arousal soon passed and left Mary panting and excited. This was quickly ended by the giant mosquito that suddenly stabbed its sword like proboscis back underneath the couch looking to suck the blood in Mary’s tiny body dry.
The fearsome barbed spear tip of the insect’s proboscis easily reached further under the couch than it had moments ago and swept the carpet next to Mary, brushing her side and causing her to scream and kick at in revulsion. The mosquito apparently didn’t like this, as it doubled it’s efforts to get at her, slicing a scrape into her arm and drawing blood as it wildly flailed under the couch. The scent of Mary’s blood had driven it into frenzy and it was desperate to get to its prey and be nourished. The proboscis hassling Mary lowered slightly and she caught the gaze of a cold insectoid face with expressionless multi-celled eyes staring at her. She stayed perfectly still, huddled in the corner underneath the couch, touching a wooden leg with her back. She could feel herself growing and it was getting increasingly cramped.
The mosquito stood perfectly still… patiently waiting for her to make a mistake and saving its energy.
She stared at her bleeding arm and cradled it on her knee, then started back at the giant mosquito.
Holy crap, Mary realized, the mosquito is even more enormous than it was just a couple seconds ago! It was still growing! It HAD to be three feet long now to her foot and a half.
Mary screamed and crawled farther underneath the couch frantically. When she reached the far end she realized it would be very easy to make a break for it out the other side. The mosquito’s proboscis darted after her with terrifying speed as she desperately crawled away from her refuge. She looked at the emptied growth vial and the cork sitting not too far away and then gasped as the mosquito’s mouth stopped in the puddle of spilt growth potion nearby… and sucked it up. Mary whimpered as she realized the implications of this. The already growing creature just got another heavier dose of potion. Who knew how large it was going to get now?
Mary herself was now one foot and eight inches tall and seemed to be getting bigger at a fairly rapid pace. She couldn’t hide out underneath the couch forever and took a deep breath as she decided what to do. That mosquito was going to be even bigger in no time and apparently wanted to drink her blood. She should make a run for it, hide out somewhere in the house, and let her body grow fully before she did anything else.
No, Mary needed to get to the bathroom and get the first aid kit from under the sink. Damn, that was upstairs.
This seemed like a good plan for the moment. Her arm was really bleeding from the cut and she needed to get it taken care of. She winced as she bumped it on one of the springs under the couch. She had to act fast.
The Mosquito was still standing on the other side of the couch. Mary could see the six fuzzy legs standing and terrible face still fixated on her tiny body. She just hoped the giant bug was no smarter than its normal sized counterparts.
She took a deep breath and prepared to dart out from under the couch and make a run from the living room to the kitchen and the stairs to the second story of her house.
Mary took stock of herself, noticed she was at least two feet tall now, and took a deep breath. She looked back and saw the mosquito had gained several more inches during this time and was looking even more intimidating to her. Four feet long perhaps? The proboscis finally withdrew from the couch, as the mosquito couldn’t comfortably bend down to keep it there. It was growing faster than she was and so it was a race against time. Her adrenaline was going and she looked to her front and prepared to make a break for it behind the couch.
