Keith and Jackie, spent, lay wrapped up in each other's arms and legs. The sex hadn't been great--how could it have been, with the two being completely inexperienced with their new bodies and genders--but the excitement of the first time and the thrill of their new senses had carried it off.
Keith was happier than he had ever been in his--or Cathy's--life. The male sexual role gave him a sense of power that he had never had before--except earlier in his stay, when hunting. But the smile on Jackie's face was a far greater reward for his effort than the bleeding corpse of a squirrel. With a slight shock, he realized that it was literally true that he would die rather than go back to being Cathy.
Jackie was far less sure of her future. Sure, sex as a female had been fun, but so was sex as a male. And Jack's life, while not perfect, had been a good one. It was easier not to think of the future, to give into the animal portion of her brain, and just luxuriate in the moment, in the warm embrace of Keith, in the beauty of the night, its sights and smells. Jackie's feline night vision was far superior to a human's, but right now the main thing she wanted to look at was Keith.
"Mmmm" said Jackie, the first time either had spoken in some time. "That was nice." She snuggled even closer to Keith.
"You smell so good" Keith replied. Another of the changes from human to panthermorph was that smell had become one of Keith and Jackie's primary ways of perceiving the world.
Jackie took in a deep breath of Keith. "So do you. So strong." She ran a paw over Keith's upper arm. "I can't believe how much different this is from when I was first changed. I was so upset. And now. . ."
"I think coming to this park was the best thing I ever did."
"Well, I'm glad you did. I'm glad we both did."
Still embracing, the two panthermorphs drifted into sleep.
