"... you're looking a little... erm... green."
"What?" Mary asks, surprised to hear that. Green? That doesn't make sense.
"Yeah. Green. Like you're really sick or something."
Mary glances over in the nearest window at her reflection, and sure enough, there is a slightly greenish tint to her skin. But she feels fine, not sick in the lightest except for that momentary wave of discomfort. But she doesn't want to be seen in this particular hue.
"Uh... yeah. Come to think of it, I'm feeling a little sick to my stomach," she says. "Think you can handle things on your own here?"
"Yeah. Got a cellphone, I can just call a towing service. Thanks for offering. And sorry about your tree."
"You already apologized about that. Don't worry." She heads over to the door and quickly opens it up. "Good luck," she calls out, and darts inside, slamming and locking the door behind her.
She looks at her hand, and there's no mistaking it - she has definitely got green skin. What did that vial do to her? What did she take?
