You rush to your computer and start doing net searches to see if you can find something, ANYTHING, on what's been happening tonight. A quick browse of some major news sites turns up nothing - whatever this is, it seems to be mostly isolated. After that, you start running all sorts of searches. The first turns up a bunch of sites about costumes and masks (won't be needing those anymore, you think with a mix of appreciation for the irony and anxiety over the situation as you rub one of your smooth latex cheeks). The second search finds you some weird fetish sites, and the third... well, you'd rather forget about the results of the third search. Finally, you try one last search, this time including the name of your hometown.
Bingo.
The first result seems to be some conspiracy site from the excerpt in the search engine, but clicking the link you find it completely dismantled. You panic for a second as your only hope is lost, but then realize that the search engine has a cache of the page from when it was still up. You click into it.
Finally, some results! The page mentions some secret tests on animals... something about weird latex costumes... it's all pretty vague, but it seems to fit what you've been through. Lastly, you notice the most important part: the name and address of the company they're accusing. Ericc Pharmaceuticals. Their labs aren't far from your home, you should be able to walk there and investigate for yourself.
It's time you got to the bottom of this.
