You wake early in the morning to a loud banging at your door. It sounds urgent but... bah, they can wait a few minutes. You then hear a man screaming in terror. That's not something that can wait.
You rush down to your door and open it, only to find a small, blonde-haired man barely holding back three of those latex werewolves you thought you'd only dreamed. Without hesitation, you grab him and pull him into your home, slamming the door shut before the monsters can follow.
"Oh my, thank God you were here. Seems I've gotten myself into a bit of a pickle. You see, I was trying to trace the outbreak back to its source, and was making excellent progress, when I was attacked by those filthy beasts. They were about to make quite the feast of me when you came along! Oh but I forget myself! I'm a biologist, name of Edmund Scotts, and I'd volunteered to come to the quarantine area and find the cause of the epidemic here. Now that I've introduced myself, I am rather curious... who are you, and how are you still here?"
Confused with everything you'd just heard, you agree to tell him what you can if he tells you what the hell's happening. He explains that your entire town has been quarantined to stop the spread of those creatures you'd seen, creatures which had completely overrun the town. No one could manage to capture or kill one, so he had to find where it all originated so he'd have something to study. After he finishes explaining, you introduce yourself and then tell him everything about the night before.
"Fascinating. Normally symptoms begin to appear within seconds of the bite, but you don't even show the slightest signs of infection. Either you're immune, or something about you slows the infliction's progression to a crawl. You must allow me to take a sample, from the buttock that was exposed of course."
Before you ask him what he means by "sample", Edmund has already pulled a needle from his pocket. He wants to take a blood sample from your ass!
